Quality and Sustainability at the Top of the List

In the design and production of our collections, we pay attention to quality, design, functionality and durability by applying the best available technologies to reduce the environmental impact of the processes and materials used, making them as safe as possible for our customers.
certificazioni1

Quality Management System Certification per ISO 9001:2015

From design to shipping, all activities in the life of our product comply with strict international standards.

The standardisation of the management system allows us to guarantee the quality of each business process by reducing and controlling the variability that results from using natural materials as raw materials.

This way of operating allows us to give our customers the best possible product and service quality.

certificazioni_2

Certification of the Energy Management System according to the ISO 50001:2018 standard

Our energy management system complies with strict international standards. Although the ceramics sector is highly energy intensive, the production of Ceramica Mediterranea stands out for the solutions implemented to reduce energy consumption and the environmental impact.

We produce our electricity via a photovoltaic plant of over 2.5 MW that is being upgraded and expanded, reaching a peak power of 6.5 MW by the end of 2023. We recover energy waste in direct form as hot air in the raffcooling zones of the furnaces.

We also recover the thermal energy in the flue gases, using advanced air/fume exchangers, resulting in less hot emissions and thermal energy fed into production processes (resulting in gas savings and substantially reduced CO2 generation).
